Precious Moments founder Samuel J. Butcher developed this uplifting figurine in 1981, only to be released after his passing. He was called home in 2024 at the age of 85.

The captain of a washtub ship turns his eyes toward Heaven, forever striving to sail a course of purpose. It was Mr. Butcher’s final wish that this figurine encourages all to Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus and seek refuge in the Lord.
